Refuge in Paradise – House Flor das Amendoeiras

One-story and cozy house, with a privileged view of the pool. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, both with air conditioning. The doors and windows are double glazed. Complete bathroom with bathtub with ecological massage shower, bidet, heated towel rail, fan heater and hairdryer. Small pantry with vacuum cleaner, broom and various cleaning products. Common room with seating area with sofas and coffee table, equipped with satellite TV, access to NOS Cine channels, WiFi Internet, DVD and CD player. This porch is equipped with a table and 4 chairs and an adjustable awning, making it ideal for outdoor dining! The dining area has an oval table for 4 people where there is always one more… and looks out through the porch. There is also a stove for the winter, but a large window facing south makes the Sun one more inhabitant of the house!
Kitchen equipped with fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, blender, toaster, electric coffee maker, electric kettle, dishwasher and washing machine, juicer and blender. It has all the necessary crockery, cutlery and tablecloths, as well as essential cleaning products. The patio with barbecue is the delight of outdoor barbecue lovers!
There is a clothesline and an extender with 3 ropes where you can dry your beach towels and any laundry you wash.
The house also has an alarm system from Securitas Direct, with Sentinel, a device that assesses air quality and has an SOS button to activate in emergencies.

The water heating is done with thermo solar equipment installed on the terrace. I have a composter where raw kitchen waste is recycled into good quality soil. In the area near the kitchen there is an “ecological island” for separating garbage. In the village there is an Ecopoint where you can then deposit separate garbage for later recycling. The Earth, our common backyard, thanks you.

In the bedrooms, the mattresses are orthopedic and are equipped with super fluffy mattresses! There are more than enough sheets and towels for the house. Beach towels are also provided.
In the house there is a first-aid kit, fire blanket and fire extinguisher, as well as a list of contacts that might be useful. There is also a file with instructions for handling and functioning of the various equipment.
Parking is almost next to the house, as you can see on the location map.
There are 2 swimming pools for adults and 1 swimming pool for very small children, you just have to leave the house and walk about 50 meters! The Caravela bar serves all kinds of drinks and snacks. Meals can be enjoyed in the Trattoria, next to the village’s reception. Next to this is the Quinta do Paraíso diving center.

Praia do Paraíso is a small refuge with access by stairs, about 10 minutes on foot, but if you want to walk a little further, then you have the beach of the village of Carvoeiro. A beautiful bay, surrounded by cliffs and the village itself! Near the beach is the tourist office, where you can collect all the information you think is pertinent. Nearby you can also buy tickets for water parks and other amusements such as boat trips.
Going up the most commercial street in Carvoeiro and turning towards the sea at the top intersection, you arrive at Algar Seco. Here you can delight with the view, with the sound of the sea, stroll through the numerous caves, be enchanted by the flora and seagulls or even see a fisherman at work!

Quinta do Paraíso reception is a privileged place to purchase tickets for the most diverse outdoor activities, such as boat trips, water parks, safaris, zoos, museums, car rental, information, hiring of various services, etc.
This place is ideal for both families and couples without children, it’s just a matter of choice…
During the “tourist” season, there is entertainment at the Caravela bar, next to the pool, with karaoke, parties, competitions, water games, etc. Activities much appreciated by the little ones!
If you need silence and recollection, it is ideal in autumn and winter.
